SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – An 18-year-old is facing multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police say they stopped a break and enter in progress at a Sioux Lookout business early Thursday morning.

Officers from the OPP’s Sioux Lookout detachment responded to reports of a break-in around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, locating and arresting a Cat Lake First Nation man, 18.

Officers recovered official documents police called "essential for the continuation of normal operations for the business" as part of their investigation.

The man faces charges of break and enter and failure to comply.

In a statement, the OPP credited officers’ quick response as well as members of the public reporting suspicious activity for being able to stop the crime in progress.
