OPP, TBPS and NAPS arrest Mississauga man during drug raid

Twenty officers from multiple police agencies contributed to an investigation that led to the arrest of a person from Mississauga.

THUNDER BAY — Thanks to efforts from the OPP's Provincial Joint Forces Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team, more illicit drugs have been taken off city streets. 

A team of 20 officers from OPP, the Thunder Bay Police Service and Nishnawbe Aski Police executed a search warrant at a home on Detroit Avenue on Tuesday. 

Investigators seized more than 22 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 60 grams of suspected cocaine, 30 oxycodone pills, approximately $4,000 in Canadian money and other drug trafficking paraphernalia. 

The drugs seized have an estimated street value of over $14,000.

A 27-year-old from Mississauga is facing four trafficking-related charges and is being held in custody for a bail hearing.
