UPDATED: Overturned transport truck disrupts traffic at Upsala (2 Photos)

OPP say the trailer flipped when the driver turned too sharply leaving a gas station

UPSALA, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have released more information about an incident that saw a tractor-trailer overturn on Highway 17 at Upsala on Monday morning.

It happened at about 6:15 a.m., approximately one kilometre south of North Road.

The eastbound lane was blocked for several hours.

OPP say the driver of the vehicle had stopped to refuel.

When he pulled out of the gas station, he turned too sharply and ended up flipping the trailer. 

OPP provided traffic control through the collision site the unit could be removed.

According to Ontario 511, the highway was declared fully open late in the morning.
