Pair arrested for copper wire thefts

Officials with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP say the northwest regional agriculture crime team arrested and charged the two men in connection with the thefts of copper wire from tower sites north of the city.

A 32-year-old man from Thunder Bay and a 44-year-old man from Pleasantfield, NS, have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, mischief and theft.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in provincial court on June 15 to answer to the charges.
