Thunder Bay Fire Service firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in the 100 block of Summit Avenue just before 4 a.m. Tuesday. The fire started in the vehicle and spread to the interior of the home.

Firefighters searched the home and confirmed that all occupants were out and uninjured. Firefighters then extinguished the blaze.

The home suffered significant smoke damage while the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Firefighters responded to a second vehicle fire just before 4:30 a.m. on Crown Street. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and say there were no injuries reported as a result of that fire.

Both fires are considered suspicious and are under investigation.
