THUNDER BAY — Two people have been charged after separate single vehicle collisions overnight.
Monday evening at approximately 9:57 p.m., provincial police from Thunder Bay and Shabaqua were dispatched to a reported collision involving one vehicle along East Arrow Lake Road.
During the investigation, police determined the driver had consumed alcohol and was arrested. The 67-year-old Thunder Bay man was brought back to the detachment for further testing.
He's been charged with a pair of driving while intoxicated offences and was released with a future court date.
A short time later, OPP were called to another single-vehicle collision along Highway 527 at approximately 12:22 a.m.
Through this second investigation, officers determined the 33 year old female driver had consumed alcohol and was arrested.
She was also brought back to the detachment for further testing and was charged with a pair of intoxicated driving offences. The accused was released from custody with a future court date.
