The former president of Confederation College says she hopes to bring efficiency and transparency to Ornge, the province's medical transport agency.
Pat Lang was appointed this week as one of seven volunteer members on the Ornge board of directors.
The agency recently replaced its entire board and its CEO due to questionable business practices and audits of its $140 million budget.
Lang says she was honoured to be asked to serve on the new board, and make a contribution.
She also said she believes her experience as a nurse and an administrator will be a real asset to Ornge going forward.
The new Ornge board is scheduled to have its first meeting next week.
