CPR is resurfacing the crossing
detour

THUNDER  BAY — Construction at the railway crossing at the Pearl Street access to Marina Park has forced the temporary closure of the road.

The City of Thunder Bay announced today that the CPR resumed work Monday, after it was delayed earlier this month.

The railway is rehabilitating two of the three tracks in the area, including new concrete panels and resurfacing of the road.

Traffic has been rerouted to the Marina Park Overpass for the duration of the work.

A city official said he expects the work will be completed on Sept. 29.
