THUNDER BAY — Police have charged a man under the Highway Traffic Act after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy Thunder Bay street.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. Saturday on Arthur Street West.
Investigating officers learned that an adult male was hit by a sedan while crossing in the 500 block, and that the impact caused him to come to rest in a nearby snowbank.
His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
An off-duty paramedic provided initial medical assistance before first responders arrived on the scene.
The 26-year-old is charged with failing to use a cross-walk.
