Pedestrian charged after collision on Thunder Bay Expressway

THUNDER BAY — A man who allegedly crossed the road against a red light has been charged after a collision on the Thunder Bay Expressway at Dawson Road.

Ontario Provincial Police said the incident occurred in the intersection at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, a 31-year-old resident of Gull Bay First Nation suffered non-life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man was taken to hospital by paramedics, and was later ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to use a crosswalk and for disobeying a red light.
