Pedestrian involved in collision with motor vehicle

Police have closed a section of May Street, between Cumming and Leith streets, while they investigate the early morning incident.

THUNDER BAY -- A pedestrian has been involved in a collision with a motor vehicle near the intersection of May and Cumming streets.

Thunder Bay Police have asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.

A woman was taken to hospital just after 5:30 a.m. on Friday after coming into contact with the vehicle, though police are not able to say how serious those injuries might be.

Police have also not said whether any charges will be laid in the case.

A section of May Street, between Leith and Cumming streets, remains closed on Friday morning.
