THUNDER BAY — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Dawson Road on Thursday afternoon.
In a release, the Thunder Bay Police Service indicated a collision involving a commercial vehicle and a pedestrian occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on Dawson, between Strand Avenue and the Thunder Bay Expressway.
A police spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to be life threatening.
The police service is asking the public to avoid the area, and warned motorists to expect delays as the incident is investigated.
