Pedestrian struck, killed by tractor trailer near Dryden

Ontario Provincial Police have closed Highway 17 near Glengoland Road west of Dryden as they investigate a fatality involving a pedestrian and a tractor trailor.

Ontario Provincial Police have closed Highway 17 near Glengoland Road west of Dryden as they investigate a fatality involving a pedestrian and a tractor trailor.

Police say they aren't sure how long the highway will remain closed, though traffic is being rerouted between Eagle River and Dryden on Highway 594.

According to OPP, contacted by Thunder Bay Television on Saturday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck and killed by the tractor trailor.

The investigation is ongoing.
