The Canadian Peregrine Foundation along with Ontario Power Generation held a workshop this afternoon to teach elementary students about endangered birds and the environment. First to arrive was Oscar the peregrine followed by Alex the owl.

Outreach Educator Kyle Holloway said he loves to see the kids reaction when he brings the birds because it's not everyday a live peregrine falcon is in the classroom.

Grade 5 student Breanna Hannaford said it is not everyday that you get to see such beautiful animals. She added that she is excited to share her new knowledge about endangered species with her friends.

The peregrine program will continue its Northern Ontario tour on Thursday, stopping in Atikokan and Kenora on Friday.
