THUNDER BAY – The lobby efforts to have this city selected for the guaranteed minimum income pilot project has begun via an online survey.
The Change.org petition to the Ontario Liberal-led government can be found here.
The petition description explains that the recently revealed provincial budget will see a single city selected for a pilot project to examine the feasibility of guaranteed minimum income.
“This will ensure that every member of our community has a chance to lift themselves out of poverty, while stimulating the local economy the sensible way” the petition reads.
