DRYDEN, Ont. — Police in Dryden are warning area businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit currency.

The Dryden Police Service says it has received multiple reports of fake Canadian bills circulating in the community.

Several merchants have reported individuals attempting to pass the phoney money.

It may not be too difficult to spot, however.

According to police the bills have a different texture from legitimate Canadian currency, and also carry some blue Chinese lettering.

Businesses reporting the attempted fraud have provided varying descriptions of the suspects.
