Pineau, Droll to play in CBPL all-star showcase

Thunder Bay hurlers each slated to pitch in the event, being staged at the Field of Dreams in Dorchester, Ont.

DORCHESTER, Ont. – A pair of Thunder Bay talents will be on the mound this weekend as part of Team Red at the Canadian Premier Baseball League’s all-star showcase.

Southpaw Will Droll is expected to see action in the opening game on Friday. Droll is a member of the Toronto Mets 18U squad.

Righty Jack Pineau will get his turn in Game 3 on Sunday.

Pineau, who was also drafted by the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, is also a member of the Mets.

Team Red also includes infielder Myles Naylor, the younger brother of Cleveland outfielder Josh Naylor and prospect Bo Naylor.

Game 1 is scheduled to start at 2:05 p.m. on Friday, while Game 3 goes at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday.
