AJAX, Ont. – Thunder Bay’s Jack Pineau had a solid outing in his debut at the selection camp for the Canadian national junior baseball team.

The right-hander, pitching in relief, tossed three innings of four-hit ball on Thursday, allowing one run and striking out two to help the junior squad come-from-behind to beat the Toronto Blue Jays Academy squad 14-9.

Pineau is seeking one of 20 Team Canada spots on the national junior squad that will go for gold at the WSBC’s U18 Baseball World Cup next month in Sarasota, Fla.
