Pints and Pumpkins sees families head out to Sleeping Giant Brewing Company

Both events sold out this year with a total of 250 tickets sold

THUNDER BAY – Sleeping Giant Brewing Company held its annual Pints and Pumpkins event which invited families out to the brewery to enjoy some great family activities while parents and caregivers get to try out some locally crafted beer.

“We love to promote drinking in a safe responsible fashion and [being] able to enjoy your family also while doing that,” said Andrea Mulligan co-founder & CEO, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company.

“So, we're having the pints and pumpkins where we've invited families to come in, participate in caramel Apple making, pumpkin decorating, and the parents and kids alike are having a great time and that's a big part of what sleeping Giants about is just this family friendly environment where parents can have a good time, enjoy each other's company, but the kids are also happy too.

Both events sold out this year with a total of 250 tickets sold and Mulligan says that it's been amazing seeing the kids and families come out to enjoy time with each other.

“Well, the children are so happy, and they don't miss a beat, right?” she said. “They're here having a wonderful time and you know not only are there the kids having fun and we're enjoying that, but, what's really special, is seeing the parents be able to do something with their children that's fine for both of them.”

Mulligan says to look forward to more family friendly events that will be coming up toward the end of the year at the brewery.

“In SGBC fashion you can look forward to many other family friendly events, you know, we were already talking about December when we are doing our paws for love, support with pets and Santa Pictures,” she said.

“We do our brewery pictures with Santa as well in support of Toys for Tots, so we're really excited to see a whole slew of events unfold, again coming out of the pandemic, especially that are geared towards our families.”
