THUNDER BAY - Pioneer Ridge long-term care and Senior Services celebrated a milestone on Thursday.
The facility which provides care and services to 150 long-term care residents, 120 supportive housing tenants, and meals for approximately 250 city residents, celebrated 25 years.
On Thursday, they hosted an open house with present and past employees to celebrate the achievement.
“Pioneer Ridge has embraced many changes in the recent years and we are extremely proud of our accomplishments and our ongoing ability to provide quality care to those we serve,” said administrator Lee Mesic.
Pioneer Ridge is home to many unique features and spaces such as a butterfly garden, a Tuscan themed skywalk, a Snoezelen room, and daycare.
"In a field where the challenges are getting greater and greater, having the opportunity to celebrate the successes the home has seen is something special."
