Plane carrying 8 crashes in Dryden

No life-threatening injuries after plane travels off main runway on take-off late on Monday afternoon.

DRYDEN -- No one was hurt when a plane carrying eight people crashed on take off at the Dryden Airport.

A release issued on Monday night by the City of Dryden says six passengers and two crew members were aboard a small plane just after 4 p.m. CST when it travelled off the runway on take-off and crashed.

Emergency crews responded quickly and report that no life-threatening injuries were sustained. Crash victims were treated on scene.

The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate.

The public is being asked to stay away from the area.

The city of Dryden will provide further updates when they become available.
