THUNDER BAY -- Thunder Bay's intercity area will soon be seeing more retail development, including the construction of a new Beer Store.
The development will be built on the site of the Lakehead Labour Centre on Fort William Road. The last remaining tenants of the old building have been told they have until Dec. 1 to move out.
Once it's demolished, the property will become the site of a Rexall pharmacy, a mini-mall and according to the signage posted outside, a new Beer Store as well.
The property was sold earlier this year to a developer from Toronto. An auction is planned at the Labour Centre this Saturday, to sell off all the contents of the building.
