Police arrest 4 in trafficking investigation

Thunder Bay police arrested four men, including two from Toronto, and seized around $24,000 in cocaine and fentanyl in a search of a north side home Thursday.

THUNDER BAY – An investigation into drug trafficking activity in Thunder Bay's north end resulted in charges for four suspects and the seizure of around $24,000 worth of illicit drugs, the Thunder Bay Police Service reports.

Police arrested four suspects, including two Toronto men, and seized cocaine and fentanyl after a search of a north side address Thursday evening.

Officers with the TBPS Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200s block of Algoma Street South around 5:30 p.m.

The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the area, police stated.

A search of the home resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, the force reported.

The estimated street value of drugs seized is nearly $24,000.

Carlo Allan Anderson, 47, of Thunder Bay, is charged with

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Nicoy Burke, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Chinonso Onyenobi, 20, of Toronto, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Francis Jake Sky, 59, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

All four appeared in bail court on Friday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates, police said.
