Police arrested a local man, and are still looking for another suspect, after a Tuesday night vandalism that caused more than $10,000 to a government building.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say officers responded to a report of people damaging offices in the government building on James Street just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Responding officers were able to see suspects inside one of the offices trying to break a large window by kicking at it.
The suspects fled the scene after they saw the responding officers.
Police say they arrested one of the suspects.
The offices in the building suffered about $10,000 to $15,000 in damages. Computers, televisions, furniture and other office equipment were damaged during the vandalism.
The suspect police arrested is now charged with break and enter and will be appearing in court Wednesday.
An investigation into the incident continues.
