Police arrested two suspects following an attempted Shuniah Street convenience store robbery Wednesday night.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say a man allegedly entered Whitehead’s Variety and attempted to take money from the cash register. The man was not successful and fled the store.
Police officers responded and found a witness near the scene. That witness attempted to give police a description of the male suspect.
Later, officers stopped a vehicle near Margaret and Keith Streets just after 8:30 p.m.
Police took the female driver and her male passenger into custody.
A 30-year-old Thunder Bay man now faces charges of attempted theft and wearing a disguise. A 25-year-old Thunder Bay woman faces a charge of attempted theft.
Both are expected to appear in court Thursday morning.
