Police believe bridge jumping death was an accident

OPP officers in Sioux Narrows say the death of an American man on Sunday was likely an accident. Officers say 22-year old Gerald Jonasson of North Dakota died after allegedly jumping off of a bridge on Highway 71 in Sioux Narrows.

OPP officers in Sioux Narrows say the death of an American man on Sunday was likely an accident.

Officers say 22-year old Gerald Jonasson of North Dakota died after allegedly jumping off of a bridge on Highway 71 in Sioux Narrows.

Authorities have concluded through their investigation that Jonasson's death was an accident.

OPP officers are now reminding people that it is an offence to jump off any bridge into a navigable waterway.
