Police charge man following series of thefts

Thunder Bay Police have arrested a 31-year-old Thunder Bay man in connection to a series of thefts in December.

THUNDER BAY - A Thunder Bay man is facing several charges after a series of thefts throughout December.  

In a media release issued on Saturday, Thunder Bay Police say the Community Response Team arrested a 31-year-old Thunder Bay man on Jan. 5 in the area of Cornwall Avenue and Algoma Street without incident.

The man is accused of stealing a Tim Horton’s Camp Day donation box at a Memorial Avenue location on Dec. 3, a theft at Maltese Grocery on Dec. 19, and a robbery at a Mac’s Convenience Store on Dec. 31.

The man has been charged with robbery and two counts of theft under $5,000. He made his first court appearance and has been remanded into custody.
