Police charged a 29-year-old-man with assault with a weapon following a stabbing spree at a Thunder Bay apartment Saturday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers charged a 29-year-old with aggravated assault, five counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering a threat, resisting a peace officer and theft over $5,000. Police arrested the man after he allegedly stabbed two people inside a Cumberland Street apartment building and assaulted two others.
Paramedics took a 77-year-old-woman to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and treated her for stab wounds. Police say the woman is in stable condition.
The accused will have his first appearance in court on Tuesday.
