Police charge man with assault with a weapon

FORT FRANCES, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police charged a 21-year-old man with assault with a weapon following an altercation.

According to a release, police responded to a report an altercation on June 11 around 12:30 a.m. on Third Street East in Fort Frances.

Police say two men received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Fort Frances man has been charged with assault with a weapon.

The accused was released on a promise to appear. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 30.
