Police in Dryden are again asking the public for help in locating a missing Winnipeg man.
Officials with the Dryden detachment of the OPP say they are trying to locate Lukas Whitmore, 25, of Winnipeg. He was last seen on Oct. 2 just west of Dryden.
He is described as being a Caucasian man, standing about five-feet-three-inches tall with a slim build. He has blue eyes and short brown hair and a receding hairline. He was last seen wearing dark-coloured clothes.
Officers with the Dryden OPP and Dyden Police Service are now searching for the man with assistance from the OPP’s northwest emergency response team, the regional crime unit and an OPP helicopter.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Whitmore is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the Dryden Police Service at 1-807-223-3281.
The OPP says the missing man is not a threat to public safety. Whitmore has no history of violence and the public should not be hesitant to approach him.
Police are also asking Dryden residents to search any outside building they may have on their property.
