Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service dealt with three separate impaired driving incidents in the past 24 hours, the force revealed Tuesday afternoon.
In the first incident, police say a 45-year-old man fell from his scooter on Waverly Street just after 2 p.m. Monday. He was allegedly traveling the wrong way on the street at the time of the fall.
The investigation revealed the rider had almost four times the legal limit of alcohol. He was uninjured and charged.
In another incident, police say they received information about a possible impaired driver. Uniform Patrol officers spotted the suspected vehicle at a gas station in the city's north side Tuesday morning.
A 58-year-old local man was taken into custody just after 1:30 a.m. at Red River Road and Junot Avenue.
That suspect was also charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Finally, police say officers were called the emergency entrance ramp of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre just after midnight Tuesday regarding a car that had struck a guard rail.
The 75-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle had non-life threatening injuries.
The woman had originally been at the hospital to pick up a patient who was not injured in the collision.
The investigation has resulted in a charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
