Police disarm, arrest knife wielding man

A 28-year-old man is in custody following a frightening incident Friday morning. Responding to a complaint from a neighbour, officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service were sent to a north side residence.
A 28-year-old man is in custody following a frightening incident Friday morning. 

Responding to a complaint from a neighbour, officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service were sent to a north side residence. When they arrived, they found doors to the apartment open and knives on a kitchen table. 

After hearing noises in a bedroom area, they entered and found a man brandishing a knife as he stood over a female. 

The officers were able to disarm the man and take him into custody. He's been charged with assault with a weapon and resisting arrest.
