Police have found the body of a U.S. angler who was recently reported missing in the area.
Officials with the OPP say the 78-year-old Minnesota man reportedly went missing on Wenasaga Lake, near Ear Falls, on Saturday July 9.
The man went fishing in the morning hours, and officers found his capsized boat after he was reported missing. Police also found some of the man’s gear and a personal flotation device.
On Tuesday, July 12, at about 9:30 a.m. police say they found the body of Richard Carrol, of Finlayson, Minn.
The body was located by the OPP’s marine unit.
A cause of death is not known at this time.
