OPP officials say officers will be out in full force, patrolling highways and waterways, for the upcoming May long weekend.
Police say the Victoria Day weekend traditionally kicks off the summer driving season, and police say they want to keep highways safe.
There will also be vehicle checks by Ministry of Transport enforcement officers.
Last year over the Victoria Day weekend, two people were killed in separate collisions on OPP patrolled roads. No watercraft or ATV fatalities were reported.
