Police ID Toronto man accused in aggravated assault

THUNDER BAY - The suspect facing charges in the violent May Street assault earlier this week appeared in bail court on Friday.

Raejon Raheem JOHNSON, 22, of Toronto is facing aggravated assault charges.

Police were called to residence in the 200 block of May Street at about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday night, where they located an adult male victim. The victim was later sent to hospital with serious injuries, though the extent of those injuries have not been made public at this time.

The 22-year-old appeared in bail court on Friday and has been remanded into custody.
