Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the first reported break-in took place just after midnight Tuesday around the 1800 block of East Walsh Street. The second reported break-in took place in the 2000 block of Hamilton Avenue just after 1 a.m.

Police say that in both cases two men on bicycles and dressed in dark hoodies knocked on the doors before attempting to gain entry.

In both cases the suspects fled when the homeowners, who were awoken by the break-in attempt, discovered the suspects attempting to get inside.

There were no injuries reported as a result of either break-in.
