City police are investigating an assault that reportedly took place near Syndicate Avenue South late Monday evening.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say a woman was walking along the railway near Jack Knife Bridge when two men approached her. Police say she was assaulted between 10:15 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Police described the two men as Aboriginal both around 30 years old. One man is described as five-foot-six weighing 150 pounds with long black greasy hair.
The second man is described as six-feet tall and 250 pounds.
Both are described as being disheveled in appearance.
