Police investigate reports of woman being assaulted by two men on city’s south side

City police are investigating an assault that reportedly took place near Syndicate Avenue South late Monday evening. Thunder Bay Police Service officers say a woman was walking along the railway near Jack Knife Bridge when two men approached her.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say a woman was walking along the railway near Jack Knife Bridge when two men approached her. Police say she was assaulted between 10:15 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Police described the two men as Aboriginal both around 30 years old. One man is described as five-foot-six weighing 150 pounds with long black greasy hair.

The second man is described as six-feet tall and 250 pounds.

Both are described as being disheveled in appearance.

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to contact them at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 623-8477.
