The rash of Mac's robberies in the city continues as police investigate an early morning theft at a south side convenience store.

The most recent incident took place just after 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Mac's Mart on the corner of James and Frederica Streets.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service are now looking for a 30-to-35-year-old Caucasian man, described as clean shaven, about six feet tall with a slim build. The suspect wore a grey hoodie with a Nike swoosh on the left chest during the robbery.

This has been the 27th reported robbery of a Thunder Bay Mac's store this year, and comes despite last week's meetings between Mac's representatives and city police to improve security measures at the stores.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Thunder Bay Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
