City police are investigating a suspicious Regina Avenue shed fire Thursday.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say at about 6:50 a.m. the homeowner looked outside and observed black soot in her back yard and called 911.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and determined that the fire had been extinguished for some time. Police were requested to attend as the fire appeared to be suspicious in nature.
There was damage to items in the shed, including a snow blower and lawn furniture.
Police were advised that firefighters had responded to a grass fire further down on the same block of Regina Avenue at about 4 a.m. Thursday.

Police are now looking to identify the Caucasian man who is described as being approximately 20-year-old, five-feet-nine-inches tall with a thin build and dark hair.
He was wearing jeans and a dark coat with a hood and white running shoes.
