Police investigating robbery

Thunder Bay police are looking for a suspect involved in a Monday morning robbery on the southside.

THUNDER BAY -- City police are looking for a suspect in a Monday morning robbery.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a report of a robbery, which occurred just before 11:30 a.m. near May and Simpson streets.

Police say a female victim sustained minor injuries in her struggle with the suspect. The man was able to flee with the woman’s purse.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-10 with a heavier build wearing a blue Cleveland Indians ballcap with a red brim, sunglasses, a blue zip-up hooded sweater with white strings and blue jeans.

Police have released a video of the robbery suspect.
