THUNDER BAY — City police are investigating a series of vandalism incidents that they say featured fascist symbols and racial slurs.

Police received numerous reports over the weekend of spray-painted property in the 500 block areas of McNaughton, McPherson and McLeod streets in the city's east end, the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a Monday news release.

Police said the incidents are believed to have happened between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 16.

The police service's major crimes and forensic identification units are involved in the investigation.

Anyone with information, or has surveillance or dash cam footage of the area, is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
