PASS LAKE, Ont. – Ontario Provincial Police have yet to officially identify a body found Monday near Pass Lake, but have linked it to missing man Grant Tiboni.

In a release issued on Tuesday, police say the body was found after a suspicious vehicle was reported parked on a trail off Pass Lake Road East.

Police responded and confirmed the vehicle was a 1997 silver four-door Acura with licence plates matching those of Tiboni’s, a Jacques Township resident last seen in the area of Silver Harbour Road in Shuniah on Sept. 8, 2016.

OPP made repeated efforts in the ensuing months to track down Tiboni’s whereabouts.

Police say a post-mortem examination will take place at a yet-to-be-determined location and they will continue to investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to phone OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
