Police look for robber who held up Shell gas bar

Armed man got some cash in the Wednesday night incident.

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man who held up a gas station on Red River Road on Wednesday night.

Police say a robber carrying a knife entered the Shell gas bar at 807 Red River Road at about 9:45 p.m.

He demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk, and fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as Indigenous, 5'8" to 5'9" tall, with a skinny build. He had a deep voice and appeared to be in his 30s.

The man wore a black scarf with a white pattern on it, a camo jacket, black pants, and black and yellow/green gloves. 

He also carried a pink bag.
