Police are looking for a man who held up a south-side pharmacy with a knife and syringe Tuesday morning.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers say the incident took place at Janzen’s Pharmacy on West Frederica Street at about 8:40 a.m. A man entered the pharmacy with a knife in his right hand and what appeared to be a bloody syringe in his left.
Police say the suspect demanded Oxycodone and morphine. He fled from the pharmacy on foot with an unknown amount of pills.
Police say the suspect is a man who stands about five-foot-six and has a heavy build. He wore a black mask, black pants and a blue hoodie at the time of the robbery.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery.
Police were looking for the man in the area shortly after the incident with assistance from the K9 unit.
The investigation is ongoing.
