THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay Police are asking for the public’s help in piecing together events that may have led to a man being injured on the city’s north side.

On February 24, at approximately 8:26 p.m. Thunder Bay Police and Superior North EMS responded to a 911 call of an injured man receiving assistance by a passerby.

It appears the 73-year-old man may have collapsed in the crosswalk between Red River Road and Regent Street. He was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

According to a Thunder Bay Police Service media release, the man’s last known activity involved a visit to a business in the city’s north core 15 minutes before the 911 call was made.

The man is unable to remember what happened and police, as well as the man’s family, want to establish his activities leading up to his collapse and injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Thunder Bay Police Service at 684-1200 and use incident number P17028032.
