Police are on the hunt for an alleged hit-and-run offender who ran over a man lying on Memorial Avenue outside Wendy's Restaurant.

Police are on the hunt for an alleged hit-and-run offender who ran over a man lying on Memorial Avenue outside Wendy's Restaurant. 

The driver of the suspect vehicle, described as either a large SUV or pick-up truck, fled southward on the usually busy thoroughfare and was last seen heading toward the Harbour Expressway, at about 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The 48-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigations continues and police ask anyone with information about the incident to phone police or contact Crime Stoppers at 623-8477.
