THUNDER BAY — Police are seeking the owner of a pontoon-style kayak that was found flipped over on the shore of the McIntyre River.

Thunder Bay police said emergency services were sent to the area of Golf Links Road and Fairbank Crescent just before 8 p.m. Monday, where they found the overturned kayak.

Police officers and firefighters searched the area, but didn't find any evidence that a person was in the boat when it flipped over.

A photo of the boat was distributed on Tuesday, and the owner is asked to contact the police service's non-emergency line.
