Uniform Patrol officers responded to a report that a 34-year-old Thunder Bay man had been stabbed in the hand last night. Staff at Shelter House were able to provide first aid to the victim and the man was transported to hospital for treatment of his non life threatening injury.
The investigation revealed that the victim and another man had been in an argument and altercation in the vicinity of Donald and Brodie Streets earlier that evening. The accused was later located in the vicinity and arrested.
Thirty-nine-year-old Julian Jordan MAWAKEESICK of Thunder Bay has been charged with Assault With a Weapon. He has been held in custody for a future court date.
