THUNDER BAY — A 62-year-old man is charged with possessing child pornography.
Thunder Bay police said cyber crime unit officers became aware in December that a local internet user was suspected of being in possession of digital files of child exploitation.
The investigation resulted in police executing a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of Frankwood Avenue on the morning of Jan. 6.
The suspect, Grant Wilkie, has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography.
He appeared in bail court last week and was released with conditions and a future court appearance date.
The charges have yet to be tested in court.
