UPDATE: Police on scene of serious collision on city's north side

THUNDER BAY — The driver of a motorcycle that was involved in a serious collision on the city's north side on Wednesday afternoon has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

First responders were dispatched to the area of River and Court streets just before 3:10 p.m. after reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles, the Thunder Bay Police Service said.

The adult male driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for evaluation and treatment of their injuries. The TBPS said the extent of those injuries was unknown at this time.

Police asked members of the public to avoid the area as an investigation continues.
